Pre Practice Talk (10 minutes)

  • Meet each other (favorite MLB team/player)
  • Expectations of organization of gear
  • We are a baseball family
  • What we're going to do today
  • Prayer

Warm Up (10 min)

  • Normal agility routine
  • Stretch arms
  • Short catch

Gather Pitching Metrics (3 players) - (30 minutes)

  • Pitcher throws 10 pitches and we document speed and if it's a strike or ball
  • Each player throws 10 pitches 2 times
  • (Other players will hitting off soft toss, then switch)

Gather Hitting Metrics (3 players) - (30 minutes)

  • Each hitter will hit 10 balls off the tee and we document bat speed and exit velocity
  • Each hitter hits 10 balls 2 times
  • (Other players are working on leading off/secondary leads and acceleration, then switch)

Parent Huddle (10 minutes)

  • Kids will open baseball cards while coaches and parents huddle up
